DECCAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS
 
Introduction and Definitions

Passenger’s (“Customer”) carriage and baggage (“Baggage”) shall be subject to the regulations framed by Deccan Charters Limited (“Deccan”) from time to time in accordance with the rules and guidelines of DGCA for non schedule operators and in accordance with the applicable acts.

Reservation and Payment Terms for Travel

Deccan is a non scheduled operator. An itinerary does not constitute a contract of carriage.
Bookings made by the Customer (s) may be confirmed (“Confirmed Booking”) once Deccan or its authorized agent receives payment towards such booking and issues valid confirmation number (“Confirmation Number” or “PNR Number”).
Bookings and payments can be made at the following points of sale:

• By calling at Deccan Toll free number “1 860 500 4050”
• Deccan Airport Counters
• Participating Travel Agencies
Mode of Payment

Payments may be made through MasterCard and VISA Card(s) at the Deccan Call Centre and www.deccanair.com,
International (Non-Indian) Credit Cards are accepted at Deccan on a restricted basis only. Cash will be accepted at the Airport Counters and Designated Travel Agents. Note: Personal cheques issued by the Customer(s)/ passenger(s) are not accepted by Deccan.
We recommend that Customers should check their itinerary for accuracy, and verify their itinerary 24 to 12 hours before the approximate departure of the flight by calling 1860 500 4050
Deccan does not permit any open dated bookings. Deccan books only for its non schedule operations.

Fare Rules

Deccan offers fares on a one-way basis for ease of purchase. All Deccan fares are quoted in Indian Rupees (Rs or INR).
Deccan fares apply only for carriage from the airport at the point of origin to the airport at the point of destination. Fares do not include ground transport service between airports and between airports and town terminals.
Fares and times are subject to change without notice.
Once purchased, fare will not change; provided, however, any request for subsequent change in the booking or routing shall be Fares booked through www.deccanair.com are bound by the same terms and conditions as applicable to all other Deccan bookings.

Changes/ Cancellations/ Refunds

If you do not check in for a flight at least 40 minutes prior to the advised time at airport mentioned, amount paid for such booking shall be forfeited. You are, however, entitled to a refund of the Government of India PSF amount and the UDF if collected.
> However, Deccan allows cancellations or changes to be made subject to the following:

Cancellations – Cancellation will be permitted up to 24 hours prior to the advised flight time mentioned in the booking. A fee of Rs. 750 per passenger will be charged towards cancellation fee. No refund except the PSF and government taxes will be admissible for any cancellation within 24 hours of the advised flight time. Change to your booking – Changes to an existing booking will also be permitted up to 24 hours prior to the advised flight time. For any change to an existing booking the original ticket will be cancelled subject to the cancellation charges and a fresh booking will be made subject to availability.
Bookings are not transferable.  If someone other than the customer entitled to be carried there under attempts to travel, or to obtain a refund in connection therewith, Deccan shall not be liable to the customer so entitled if in good faith it provides carriage or makes a refund to the said person.

Full booking amount shall be refunded in case the booked flight is cancelled or delayed by more than three hours unless such delay is caused due to force majeure.

Special Rules and Charges for Certain Customers, Pets and Baggage

Deccan does not offer special fares for families, children, infant, senior citizens and foreign nationals.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult companion at all times and shall carry proof of age.
The use of wheelchairs is limited to one Customer per flight. There is no charge for this service.
Deccan does not permit the carriage of pets or animals on its aircraft.

Checked and Cabin Baggage Rules

Only cabin baggage of the permitted size are allowed (Size: 17X17X4 inches only) and weight not exceeding 5 kgs.

Deccan allows Customers to check-in free of charge up to 15 kg of checked baggage (“Checked Baggage”) per paying Customer. Checked Baggage in excess of 15 kg is subject to a fee of Rs 200 per kg per Sector, to be paid to Deccan. Deccan reserves the right to refuse carriage of any item that does not comply with the Regulations. Passengers would be allowed to carry such luggage as allowed by BCAS and/or applicable authority. Deccan is not liable for any loss or damage occasioned by delay in the carriage by air of Baggage. Deccan's liability for loss or damage to Baggage is limited to Rs 200 per kg with a maximum of Rs 3,000 only; however, Deccan assumes no liability for fragile or perishable articles.
Hand Baggage shall be accepted in the cabin subject to the availability of space under the seat. Deccan provides passengers the ability to leave cabin baggage at the side of the airplane prior to departure, and to reclaim it at the side of the aircraft after arrival. In the event space in the cabin is limited, Deccan may require transfer of Cabin Baggage to the baggage compartment of the aircraft prior to take-off.  In such cases, a passenger's cabin baggage will be specially tagged and returned upon arrival, either at the side of the aircraft or from the conveyor belts where checked baggage is normally received.

Checking In For a Flight

A person shall not be entitled to be carried on a Deccan flight unless that person presents an itinerary valid and duly issued in accordance with Deccan's Regulations. Customer check-in at the airport begins 2 hours and closes 40 minutes prior to the estimated departure time Of non-schedule operating flight. The boarding gate will be closed 20 minutes before estimated departure time of such non-schedule operating flights. The following are considered to be valid photo identification documents:

1. Valid Passport
2. Valid Driving License
3. Election Photo Identification Card
4. PAN card issued by the Income Tax department
5. Photo identity card issued by the employer, being government and reputed private sector organizations
6. Children travelling on Deccan should carry their school identification cards or any other photo identification proof along with them.
7. Valid birth certificates of infants need to be produced at the time of check-in for age proof.

Customers who cannot provide sufficient identification will be denied boarding.

Customers who are unwell or pregnant will require a medical certificate from a licensed medical practitioner certifying they are fit for air travel on that day. Deccan reserves the right to deny boarding to Customers who it considers to be medically unfit to travel and who do not have appropriate medical certification.

Security Screening

As required by applicable law, all Customers will be subjected to a security screening prior to boarding the aircraft.
A secondary security check may also be carried out near the step ladder/boarding gate before embarkation as stipulated by BCAS.

Onboard the Aircraft

Since Deccan flights are of a short duration, Deccan shall serve only water on the flight.
The Government of India Prohibits the use of mobile phones on board at all times.
Smoking is strictly prohibited on any Deccan aircraft.
There are no lavatories on board the Deccan flight.

Flight Delays, Reschedule or Cancellations

Deccan reserves the right to cancel, change or delay the commencement or continuance of a flight or to alter the stopping place or to deviate from the route of the journey or to change the type of aircraft in use without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the Customers.

Other Conditions

The times shown are approximate and not guaranteed and form no part of the contract of carriage.

In the event of death of a Customer, or any bodily injury or wound suffered by a Customer which results in a permanent disablement incapacitating him/her from engaging in or being occupied with his usual duties or business occupation, the liability of Deccan for each Customer shall be limited to Rs. 500,000 only, if the Customer is 12 years or more of age and limited to Rs. 250,000 only, if the Customer is below 12 years of age on the date of the accident. All claims will be settled under the ICAO Montreal Convention.

This is a non-scheduled operation by Deccan. Deccan may from time to time make changes to the terms of carriage and will update the same on its website.

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore only.
